Edgar Dale Loven

Edgar Dale "Ed" Loven passed away on December 1, 2025, in a Tyler hospital. He was born on January 23, 1949, in Rotan, Texas to Allen Loven and Grace Juanita King.

After high school, Ed joined the United States Air Force and served as a military police officer. Upon his return to civilian life, Ed continued his career in law enforcement where he owned and operated his own private investigative agency. After his retirement, he continued to serve as security for several area businesses including Southside Bank and Lowes. When not working, Ed enjoyed time with his loving family. He was also a faithful member of Summit Heights Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Sharyn Loven, sons, Ronnie Dale Loven, Scott Loven and Eddie Daniel Loven, daughter, Eryn Lynch and husband Ryan, brother, John Loven, and sisters, Lois Ann, Becky, and Beth, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Grace Loven.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Summit Heights Fellowship in Hawkins on January 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
