Edwin H. Lewis

Memorial services for Edwin Henry Lewis, of Big Sandy will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Pastor Brian Fenwick officiating. Mr. Lewis passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014, in Tyler. He was born on June 30, 1931, in Streetman, Texas to Robert and Winnie Tisdale Lewis. Mr. Lewis served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a Road Grader for a Construction Company. He is survived by his partner, Roselle Nix of Big Sandy; daughter, Sherry Proffer of Ft. Worth; stepsons, Alan Nix of California, Gary Nix of Big Sandy and Daryl Nix of Gilmer; stepdaughter, Linda Anaya and Jim Wolcott of Big Sandy; grandchild, Brandon Proffer. The family request memorials be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701 Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
