Eloise Garner Heyder

Services for Eloise Garner Heyder, 84, of Houston, will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 2 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Born on April 6, 1929, in Smith County, Texas, she entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 14, 2014. She was a secretary for Brown and Root, having served for 23 years. She was later a secretary for the University of Houston, retiring after 10 years. She is survived by 3 sons, Gary Heyder and his wife JoAnne of Friendswood; Ron Heyder of Webster; Mark Heyder and wife Cathy of Houston; 1 daughter, Phyllis Heyder Black and husband Oliver of La Marque; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Travis Garner of Gladewater; one sister, Nadine Ehmann of Houston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar W. and Effie Medlin Garner; sister, Ila Bernice Howison. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
