Elouise S. Ray

Elouise Swearingin Ray passed away on December 1, 2022. She was born March 1st, 1927 to Guy and Susan Cheairs Swearingin. Elouise was one of 7 children. Elouise married her husband Hardy Ray in 1946 and they had over 50 years of marriage. 


 Elouise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hardy, her dog Gidget and 5 of her siblings. Elouise is survived by her loving and faithful daughter, Sherry, one sister, Amanda Christian, three nephews James Patrick, Stephen Michael Skidmore and Jimmy Beasley. Elouise is also survived by 3 loving nieces Becky Rains, Nancy Bailey and Valory Elliott. 


 Elouise had many special friends at Lake of the Pines and the community and also within the Mims Chapel Church of Christ, of which she was a faithful member. Elouise enjoyed many years of working as a LVN, many games of 42, chicken foot and sitting on her porch. 


 Funeral services are Wednesday, December 7th, 2pm at Mims Chapel Church of Christ with a visitation and viewing preceding the service at 1pm. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pritchett.
