Memorial services for Emeline Bourque Johnson, 76, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Pat Camp officiating. Mrs. Johnson passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014, in Palestine, Texas. Mrs. Johnson was born on November 1, 1937, in St. Martin Parrish, LA. to Sevan Bourque and Felicie Latiolais Bourque. She was a parent/teacher liaison at Gilmer ISD. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Robert Labry of LaPorte; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Deborah Johnson of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Charles Viser of Palestine; brother, Raleigh Bourque of St. Martinville; sister Dale Porrier of New Iberia; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Johnson and grandson, Kincey Johnson. Memorial contributions of school supplies may be given to the school of your choice. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home.
