Emmaly Marie Choice

Emmaly Marie Choice, 35, entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, September 29, 2024 surrounded by her family. Though our loss is immeasurable, so is the gratitude we feel for having been blessed to share life with someone so extraordinary and beautiful. Emmaly lived a life full of love, kindness, and joy, always finding ways to uplift those around her and keeping family close. She had a servant's heart; her warm smile and generous spirit were constant reminders that life is best lived when shared with others.

Born July 25, 1989 to Dennis and Jackie Modisette in Longview, Emmaly was a beacon of positivity and beauty from the start; unique just like her name. Her curly blonde hair and radiant spirit brought joy to everyone she met. Raised in a close-knit, faith-filled family, she grew spiritually at First Assembly of God in Longview, where she was saved and baptized at he age of 12.

Emmaly was a graduate of Gladewater High School in 2007 and an active member of the High School Choir and the Honeybear Drill Team. She continued to showcase her love of dance and performing as a member of Tyler Junior College Apache Belles 61st line, and then continued on with joining the SFA Jack Attack Spirit Dance Team where she competed at Nationals.

In pursuit of her dream to empower others, Emmaly earned her Bachelors of Science in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education from Stephen F. Austin University in 2012. She embarked on a meaningful career as an Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for Tyler ISD, dedicating 11 years to impacting countless students and families. Emmaly was fluent in sign language and used her skill to bridge communication gaps and promote inclusivity. Emmaly had a unique ability to see the good in every situation and faced life with courage and grace.

She found joy in the simple pleasure's of life. She was passionate about antiques and interior design, her beloved magnolia tree and blooming flowers, Hallmark Christmas movies, coffee and rainy days. But she loved her sweet T's - and not just any 'tea' - her two precious boys! She was the epitome of a Boy Mom and worthy of the title. At home with her "guys" was her favorite place to be.

Family was at the heart of everything Emmaly did, and her commitment and love will continue to inspire generations to come. She was a devoted family member and friend, and a cherished companion through all season of life. She was everything to everyone; a social butterfly with a caring spirit. She was there for you anytime there was need, no matter how big or small. Emmaly's spirit will forever shine in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her and be loved by her.

Emmaly is survived by her loving husband, Roger Dale Choice and their two sons, Travis and Tanner; her parents, Dennis and Jackie Modisette of White Oak; her brother Joshua Modisette, wife Alexandra and niece Vivienne of Everett, Washington; father in law and mother in law Roger and Beth Choice Gladewater; sister in law Channing Stroud & spouse Danny and nephew and niece Braedon & Everlie Costello of Gladewater. She is also survived by her grandparents, Willia Roberts of Longview and Debbie Modisette of Kilgore, and numerous other beloved family members.

Emmaly was preceded in death by her cherished Pa Pa, Vernon Roberts of Longview; Grandma Edith Roberts of Louisiana; her Paw Paw Joe Modisette of Kilgore; Grandmother Teressa Hill of Kilgore. We celebrate the countless lives she touched, the love she shared, the joy she spread, and the kindness that inspired others.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you make a donation in Emmaly's name to Texas Association of Parents & Educators of the Deaf (Taped.org) or New Organization funding amplification Hearing The Call (Hearingthecall.org/htc-east-texas/)
