Floy M. Newkirk

Services for Floy M. Newkirk, 86, of Winona, will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 3 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater with Brother Roger Gage and Larry Melton officiating. Burial will be in Barber Cemetery Born on February 15, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, Texas, he died on Monday, August 19, 2013. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. He was a carpenter and a member of the Assembly of God Church. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Larry Melton of Gladewater; three sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Newkirk, Terry and Linda Newkirk, and David Newkirk, all of Winona; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; sister, Neva Nell Newkirk Hinton; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Dell Newkirk. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater
