Frances "Fran" Graning

Fran Graning, 71, of Hawkins, Texas passed away on December 11, 2022, in Tyler.  She was born on May 22, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Bernard and Ruby Stein.  Fran moved to Texas and attended Sul Ross State University.  She met and married John "Jack" Edward Graning, who preceded her death.

Wanting to be involved with her son's activities as much as possible, Fran was involved in Cub Scouts as well as Little League Baseball. She worked many different jobs, including working as a waitress and teacher.  Fran was affectionately known as "Granny Fran" to her neighborhood friends.

Frances is survived by her son, Scott Graning; stepson, Darryl Graning and grandson, Christopher Graning.  She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral Services for Frances will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 2:00 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.  Following the service, interment will take place at the Hawkins City Cemetery.
