An all-night visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Perez family residence, located at 1240 N FM 2869, Winnsboro, Texas 75494. Family and friends are invited to come and go throughout the evening and overnight to pay their respects, share cherished memories, and offer their love and support to the family.

A mass will be celebrated for Francisco Javier Perez Garcia on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Gilmer, Texas. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, under the direction of Croley Funeral Home.

Francisco Javier Perez Garcia, 63, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2026.

Francisco was born on May 15, 1963, in Suchil, Durango, Mexico, to Gabriel Perez Medina and Maria del Refugio Garcia de Perez. Throughout his life, he was known for his remarkable work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. He had worked as a foreman for Harris Line Services since 1990, where his dedication and strong work ethic reflected the values by which he lived. He was a devoted Catholic who held his faith close to his heart.

Francisco was a humble, generous, and noble man with a heart of gold. He believed in working hard, treating others with kindness, and always putting his family first.

Above all, Francisco was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband of 40 years, a wonderful father, a cherished son and brother, and an incredibly proud grandfather. Of all the blessings in his life, his four grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Being their grandpa brought him happiness that words could never describe. He treasured every moment he spent with them, and the love he gave them will forever remain a beautiful part of their lives.

Francisco was the heart and foundation of his family. His strength, love, and dedication provided comfort and guidance to those closest to him. He was someone his family could always depend on, a reassuring presence whose actions spoke louder than words. His selflessness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand were just a few of the many qualities that made him so deeply loved and respected.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Maria del Refugio Garcia de Perez; his loving wife of 40 years, Lucina Mejia Perez; his sons, Ricardo Uriel Perez and his wife, Eloisa, and Rudy Perez; his daughters, Adriana Perez, and Gabriela Perez and her husband, Jorge; his sisters, Maria de los Angeles Perez, Vanjelina Perez, Graciela Perez, Juanita Perez, Imelda Perez, and Rocio Perez; his four cherished grandchildren, Isela Aleyda Perez, Ulysses Uriel Perez, Eliana Rose Perez, and Giovanni Jahziel Perez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Francisco was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Perez Medina.

Although his passing was sudden and heartbreaking, the love Francisco gave throughout his life will never be forgotten. His family will forever remember his gentle spirit, his quiet strength, his hardworking hands, and the beautiful heart he shared with those around him. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his legacy will live on through the family he loved so dearly and the values he instilled in them.

Fue un católico devoto que llevó su fe siempre en el corazón.

Francisco fue un hombre modesto, generoso y noble, con un corazón de oro. Creía firmemente en el valor del trabajo, en tratar a los demás con bondad y, sobre todo, en poner siempre a su familia por delante de cualquier cosa.

Por encima de todo, Francisco fue un hombre entregado a su familia. Fue un esposo amoroso durante 40 años, un padre maravilloso, un hijo y hermano muy querido y un abuelo inmensamente orgulloso.
