GILMER � H. J. Newsome, 82, of Gilmer passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Gilmer. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Newsome was born October 8, 1928 in Gilmer to Horace John and Mable Newsome. He owned and operated Newsom�s Garage in Gilmer. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Daughter: Stacy Elaine Newsome, Brother: Ray Nell Newsome and Sister: Barbara Ann Morris Mr. Newsome is survived by his Wife: Billie Newsome of Gilmer; Children: Dale Newsome of Cumberland, VA, Betty Davis, Barbara Johnson and Larry Newsome, all of Gilmer; Sisters: Maurice Bickerdike and Betty Murrell, both of Gilmer; 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.
