Helen Marie Colby

Helen Marie Colby, 95, passed away on February 25, 2022 in Gilmer, TX. She was born in Smith County on August 21, 1926. Helen worked as a Nurse's Aid, where she loved everyone under her care. She loved her cats and dogs.
Helen is survived by her son, Timothy Allen Colby of Gladewater; daughters, Ruth Ann White of Mesquite, Evelyn Barden of Madisonville, Frances and her husband, Dennis Broughton of Longview and Carolyn Colby of Austin; grandchildren, Shannon Crane, Glenn White, Michelle White, Greg White, Louis Eugene Hearn, Stephanie Benjamin, Trisha Broughton, Karen Broughton, Duane Broughton and Molly Colby, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Eugene Colby; brothers Bobby Foster and Calvin Foster; and her son, Harley Earl Colby.
Funeral Services for Helen will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment to follow services at Gladewater Memorial Park Cemetery.
