Helen Marie Holcomb

Service for Helen Marie Holcomb, 97, of West Mountain, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Glade Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Gilmer, where she was a long time member. Officiating will be Reverend Wayne Norvell.

Helen Marie went to meet her Lord Thursday evening, after passing away peacefully at home.
Helen Marie was born February 10, 1924, in Comfort N.C., to Ralph Roscoe Koonce and Dolly Ruth Koonce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman E. Holcomb; a son, Jerry Wayne Holcomb; a daughter, Betty Marie Holcomb; 2 grandsons, Daryl Everett Holcomb and Ronald Destry Holcomb; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Helen Marie is survived by 2 sons, Herschel Everett Holcomb and Ronald Herman Holcomb; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Kelly and Jennifer Holcomb Hallman, Jerri Lynn Holcomb Long, and Jared and Jessica Holcomb Taylor; 19 grandkids, 18 great grandkids, 18 great great grandkids, many nieces and nephews and her loving, faithful, four-legged companion, Lilliput.
Marie was a dedicated wife and mother who devoted her life to serving generations of family and friends, and her heavenly Father.
