Hilary Aubrey Vaughn passed away on February 14, 2026, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He was born on November 4, 1947, in Mobile, Alabama to Hilary Elmore Vaughn and Agnes Covan Vaughn.

Aubrey proudly served in the Air Force, a chapter of his life that he looked back on with pride. He dedicated a significant part of his life to the oil industry and had a successful career as a draftsman, working offshore.

Despite the demands of his career, Aubrey’s heart was firmly anchored in his family. He loved them more than anything and found his greatest joy in their company. He was a source of strength and comfort, always ready with a listening ear or a helping hand. Aubrey cherished the moments spent with loved ones, whether it was celebrating milestones, sharing laughter around the dinner table, or simply enjoying quiet times together.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Katherine Hickman Vaughn; daughter, Hilary Best and husband Brian; son, David Vaughn and wife Natalie; grandchildren, Jacob and his wife Grace, Addyson, Everett, Emily, Jeffrey, Lila, Declan and Caleb.
