Services for Hubert W. Green, 84, of Vandalia, Illinois will be held 10:00 A.M, Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Reverend Gerald Henson officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Green passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Vandalia, Illinois. He was born October 28, 1929, in Gilmer, Texas to John Wesley and Daisy Mary Jones Green. Mr. Green worked at Eastman and was the co-owner for East Texas Truck Equipment before his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Vickey Green of Vandalia Illinois; son, John Green and his wife, Paula; daughter, Nancy Green; brothers, Norman Lewis Green and wife, Jean, Eddie Green and wife Carolyn, Freddie Green and wife, Teresa; five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jason Green, John Michael Green, Shon Smith, Kevin Green, Tom Green and Terry Stone. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
