Ivan Webster Nicks

Ivan Webster Nicks, age 87, of Gladewater went home to be with Lord on March 24, 2023. He was born on December 7, 1935, in Paden, Oklahoma to James and Gertie Nicks.

Ivan had lived a very long life. He became a sheet metal worker and had a very long career in that field. He lived in Boulder City, Las Vegas and got hired on to the North Slope and spent many years in Alaska. After retirement, he spent his last years in Texas. He loved playing cards with the family over the years. Ivan had a sweet spirit and was a kind, loving man. He is going to be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shelley Walters; wife, Judy Carol Nicks, and also a brother and sister.

He survived by his daughter Ginger Bateman and her husband Dave; five grandchildren; Angela Workman, Cameron Myers, Joshua Myers, Shana Nicks, and Jackie Gerrod; and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 2PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
