James Walter "Toby" Allen was born on July 18, 1974, in Gladewater, Texas, to Lawrence and Janette Allen and passed away on June 7, 2026, in Kilgore, Texas. 

Toby spent his career working as a truckdriver. Outside of work, he loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. These hobbies brought him great joy and were moments he cherished deeply. Above all, he treasured being with his family, making time for them whenever he could. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Renee Allen; father, Lawrence Allen; sons, James Allen, Jr. (Heather), Corey Allen (Gabby), Eric Brown (Destiny); daughters, Brittney Saldierna (Adan), Lindsey Myrow (Joseph) and Christin Brown; brother, Desmond Campbell (Alana); sisters, LaTisha Allen, Desiree Allen (Chris Brown) and Laura Allen (Mike Bustle), along with 24 grandchildren and numerous other relatives. 

Toby was preceded in death by his mother, Janette Allen and granddaughter, Audrey Grace Saldierna. 

Pallbearers will be Adan Saldierna, James Allen, Jr., Corey Allen, Robert Travis, Bryan Jones, Skip Spurlock, Paul Curry and David Minor. Honorary Pallbearers are Eric Brown, Jacob Wright and Joseph Myrow. 

A visitation to honor Toby’s memory will be held on June 8, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Diana. A graveside service will take place on June 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Harleton, Texas, where Toby will be laid to rest.
