James Harold Guin

Funeral service for Mr. James Harold Guin, 79 of GIlmer, TX will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Life Tabernacle, 541 Hwy. 155 N. Gilmer, TX 75644, with Bro. Don Kitchell and Bro. Bryant Kitchell officiating, interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Guin passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in Longview.

James was born in Vicksburg, MS on June 4, 1939 to Mitchell and Bessie (Pullin) Burke. He married Martha (Mitchell) on March 19, 1980 in El Paso, TX and together raised a family of 9 children. James was self-employed and was an active member of Life Tabernacle in Gilmer. Mr. Guin will be great missed by many friends and family members.

James is survived by his wife, Martha Guin; sons, Dewayne, James, Doc Scott and Ace Guin; daughters; Joy Ann, Sonya, La Jeanna Smith, and Amanda Guin; sister, Reba Ellis; 27 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers for the service will include Mr. Yates, Jerry Dixon, Bo Logan, Brian Smith, Wayne Smith, and David Pickett. Billy “Jr” Craver is to serve as an Honorary Pallbearer

Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
