James (Jim) Shepherd passed away at the age of 79 on May 30, 2026. Jim was born on October 25, 1946, in Huntington, West Virginia. 

Following an 8-year tenure in the US Air Force as a mechanic; Jim enjoyed a successful career as a welder for over two decades before retiring. He was married to the late Deborah Shepherd for 27 years. 

Jim has now reunited with his wife, parents, sisters Joan Meske, Lorraine Collins, Betty Chapman, and brother Eddie Shepherd in eternal peace. 

He is survived by his son, Frank Shepherd of Pittsburg; daughter, Jessie Goff of Arkansas; stepdaughter, Kristy Fletcher and her husband Willie of Pittsburg, as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2026, at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg.
