James Wayne McKinley

Graveside services for James Wayne McKinley, 59, of Gladewater will be Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Union Grove Cemetery with Brother Eddie Jones officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home. Mr. McKinley passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at his home.

James was born November 13, 1959 in Gladewater to Joel Wayne McKinley and Jimmie Francis Warren McKinley. He attended Gladewater schools and graduated from Gladewater High School. James worked in the East Texas Oilfield and at the Auction Barn. He was a good old boy who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing and being outdoors. James was always willing to help and spent much of his time cooking and delivering food to the elderly in Gladewater. He will always be remembered by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

James is survived by his mother Jimmie Francis Warren McKinley; father Joel Wayne McKinley; sons Brandon McKinley and wife Martha Kell and Jarrod McKinley and wife Raquel; sister Melodi Stephenson and husband Eddie; brother Roger McKinley; grandchildren Eli, Vivian and Carlyle; niece Emily Jones and husband Justin; nephews Jon McKinley, Thomas Stephenson and Matt McKinley as well as many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gary McKinley.
