Jenell Camp died peacefully on May 28th, 2026 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 81.

Jenell was born on August 14,1944 in Newton, Texas to Joe Cornelius and Evie Strong, and soon after adopted by aunt and uncle Grace and George Camp from New Diana. She graduated from New Diana High School in 1963.

Jenell loved her family and loved spending time with family and friends. She loved to help others even to the very end. She loved attending church, bird watching, listening to the Gaithers, and helping others. She found a special place in everyone's heart that she met with her pretty blue eyes and beautiful smile. You didn't have to know her for very long to have a connection with her. She was gentle and compassionate, but could surprise you with a feisty side to her occasionally. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother Jerry Camp and other siblings: Richard Strong, Durene Strong, Leo Strong, Johnnie Strong, Dorothy Newman, Joe Strong and Betty Thamm.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 5th, 2026 from 6-8PM at Croley Funeral Home in Diana at 1782 U.S. Hwy 259 S, Diana, Texas. A funeral is scheduled for 10AM, June 6th at Croley Funeral Home in Diana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of East Texas at 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701.
