Jenny Anne Dunn

Jenny Anne Dunn, age 47, of Hawkins passed away on October 6, 2023, in Tyler surrounded with her loved ones. Jenny was born on June 5, 1976, in Athens, Alabama.

Jenny was a teacher for many years. She dedicated her career to teaching, because for her teaching was more than just learning; not only did she teach her students’ academic lessons, but she also taught them life lessons that would go on to stay with them forever. She was a huge advocate for Down’s Syndrome and Autism and any kid who needed just a little extra help. There were three places that you would be able to find Jenny if you needed her: a classroom, the kitchen, or chasing her kids around. Her kids, biological and student, were her life. She was a woman who gave her all to others and was always there when someone needed her.

Jenny was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Virginia Lusk and Ruth Eubank; Uncle, James T. Lusk; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Patricia Dunn.

She is survived by her husband John Dunn and their children Katlyn, Cooper David, and Rylee Dunn all of Hawkins; her parents, Larry and Virginia Pack of Hawkins; brother, John Pack of Hawkins; sisters, Tonya Boyd and husband David of Van and Glenda Hobbs and husband Chris of Tyler; Nieces and nephews, Sydnee Pack, Addison Boyd, Rachel Boyd, Dylan Boyd, Kristyan Mosley, Jiraiya Mosley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 10, 2023, at 2PM at Summit Heights Fellowship Church in Holly Lake. Burial will follow at Hawkins City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 5PM to 7PM at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.

The family has asked that everyone wear peach or pink in honor of Jenny.
