A veteran of the United States Army, he spent most of his life as a supervisor in the oil field.
He is mourned today by three sons, Darrel Kincaide, Jimmy Norris, Richard Norris; one daughter, Jessica Meek; sixteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert William Sowers and Arlene Mary Hindlighter Sowers; wife, Lavonia Sue Sowers; son, Delbert Gene; and grandson, Darrel Keith Kincaid.
