Jessica Lynn Johnson

Jessica Lynn Johnson, 44, of Gilmer, returned to be with her Lord, unexpectedly on Monday, April 1, 2024.   She was born on October 4, 1979 in Longview, Texas to Jessie J Sapp, III and Rebecca Lynn (Landrum) Sapp.  Jessica was married to Joseph Johnson, the love of her life.

Jessica was a caring woman and an incredible homemaker who loved cooking and taking care of the ones that she loved, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed singing as well as being a Sunday School teacher.  She was the rock of her family and fought to keep her family all together.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Johnson; daughters, Morgan Nichole Peden, Mikayla Ann Peden and Lilly Lynn Robertson; parents, Jessie and Rebecca Sapp; sisters, Jennifer Rose Sapp and Christal Ann Sapp; brothers, Dustin Wayne Sapp, Jessie J Sapp, IV and Austin Blake Sapp; her adored grandchildren, as well as her numerous extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Jessica’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
