Jessie Alvis Lyle Jr.

Jessie Alvis Lyle Jr., age 83, of Gladewater passed away on April 21, 2023. He was born on May 27, 1939, in Concord, Texas to Jessie Lyle Sr. and Mary Vaughn Lyle. He married Charlcie Hall on April 29, 1971, in Dallas. While in Dallas, he worked for Varrell Manufacturing where he retired after 33 years. Jessie was known to his grandchildren and great grandchildren for his Elvis impressions. He was a family man, who loved sports and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timmy Lyle; a brother, Larry Paul Lyle; and a sister, Alta Lee Roach.

Jessie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlcie Ellen Lyle; son, John Lyle and wife Mary; daughter, Mary Jones; daughter in law, Christy Lyle; sister, JoAnne Hines; 5 grandchildren: Cody Nelson, Aldon Marty, Magen Sanders, Kacy Jordan-Bates, and Justin Boone; and 13 great grandchildren: Preston Shelby, Trinity Marty, Elijah Marty, Cynthia Nelson, Brailey Lyle, Espyn Boone, Maddy Sanders, Rustyn Boone, Kellin Jordan-Bates, Avery Nelson, Timmy Boone, Lexton Boone, and Brody Sanders.

A visitation for Mr. Lyle will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 5PM to 7PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
