Jimmy Don Tipton Gladewater -- A memorial service/celebration of life for Jimmy Don Tipton, 81, of Gladewater, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Born on January 10, 1931, in Electra, Texas, he died on Thursday, March 8, 2012. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he served during the Korean Conflict. He was a Mason for 57 years. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Britta Henry Tipton of Gladewater; 2 sons, Eric Tipton of Hallsville and Adam Tipton of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren; 3 step-daughters; 2 step-sons; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Guy Tipton of Frisco. No visitation is scheduled.
