Johnnie Lee Ault was born on April 29, 1933, in Beckville, Texas, and passed away on April 25, 2026, in Gladewater, Texas. She lived a life filled with remarkable adventures and accomplishments.

On June 22, 1956, she married Bryan Ault, embarking on a partnership filled with shared devotion and service. Their bond paved the way for a life rich in adventure and faith.

A woman of extraordinary pursuits, Johnnie earned her pilot’s license in 1964, marking her first solo flight in Longview, Texas, a testament to her boldness and determination.

Her global spirit took her and Bryan to Teheran, Iran, where they lived for seven years beginning in 1966. There, Johnnie served as Primary President for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a role that reflected her nurturing heart and commitment to community. Their journey continued to Castelldefels, Spain, for two years before moving to Mallorca in 1976, embracing new cultures and experiences that enriched their lives.

Upon returning to America in 1977, Johnnie pursued her GED and achieved certification as a Nurse’s Assistant. In her 60s, she dedicated several years to caring for children at Truman Smith Children’s Hospital, demonstrating a lifelong passion for service and compassion. Together with Bryan, she actively participated in temple work for the LDS Church, highlighting their devotion to faith and family.

From 1988 to 1991, Johnnie and Bryan served a full-time mission in Huesca, Spain, further embodying their steadfast commitment to their beliefs and to helping others. Even in the later years of her life, Johnnie’s adventurous spirit thrived. In 2024, she traveled to Cairo, Egypt, with her daughter Valerie, where she stayed for four months, embracing a new chapter of exploration and bonding.
