Jolene Faye Ackley

Jolene Faye Ackley, 71, passed away peacefully at her home in Gladewater on September 2, 2025, and went home to her beloved Jesus, with her daughter holding her hand.

Born on June 29, 1954, in Roseburg, Oregon, Jolene was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus above all else. She cherished her family dearly and was fiercely independent, even later in life when she pursued a career as an over-the-road truck driver before retiring to create her cherished little crafts. Jolene adored her dog, Lulu, and one of her favorite pastimes was attending church and visiting with her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Joyce Walker of Livingston, Texas. Jolene is survived by her brother, Wayne Walker, and his wife, Regina; her daughter, Marilyn Sorrells, and son-in-law, Teddy Sorrells; her son, Terry Ackley; her grandchildren, Tyler Sorrells, Dakota Sorrells, Olivia Ackley, Ty Ackley, and Nova Lee Ackley; and her great grandchildren, Eden Sorrells, Matthew Sorrells, Obi Sorrells, Eli Sorrells, and Ian Sorrells.
