Our treasured Julia Ann Fonteno completed her earthly journey on October 7, 2022 in Tyler, Texas.
Julia was born in Pasadena, Texas, on April 19, 1962 to John Franklin Price, Jr., and Pearl Koreen Price. The oldest of three children, Julia, thoroughly enjoyed a variety of mischief with her younger twin brothers, Tim and Tom. As a child, she often traveled with her parents to visit her cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins all across the area while joining in on the many fun pranks that her family loves to do to one another. While together, no one in the family wanted to fall asleep for fear of someone doing something to them while they slept, such as painting their nails or drawing on their face. Julia was kindness personified, a sweet, gentle spirit who loved to have fun and lots of laughs with her loved ones. Julia was a passionate leader in everything she took on from a very young age. She was an avid dancer, dazzling artist, beautiful singer, and brought her unique creativity to everything she did. Julia never met a stranger or a puzzle she could not solve. She absolutely loved to watch crime dramas, often ruining it for her husband as she figured it out well before the ending. Julia was accustomed to challenges and suffering, yet she continuously found incredible joy in every facet of life. From adoring her six grandchildren, to attending any and all events for her beloved four children, to spending everyday simple moments with her deeply devoted and loving husband. Julia was magnetic, and such a colorful treasure in life. She was vigorously devoted to her family and a fierce friend to all she knew. She lived her life in service to others always, and it brought her such joy. Her unshakable faith in our Savior Jesus Christ, and her unending love for her family and friends will last eternal.
Mourning her loss and celebrating her life is her devoted husband David Wayne Fonteno, Jr., of Big Sandy; daughter and bonus son Emily and Christopher Bowdoin of Lindale; daughter and bonus son Amy and Ryan Berger of Big Sandy; bonus daughter and husband Kari and Mark Abrams of Denison; sons Aaron Wilson and David Wayne Fonteno, III, of Big Sandy; treasured grandchildren Carter Bowdoin, McKinlee Ann Berger, Hadley Grace Bowdoin, Tucker Bowdoin, Loxley Pearl Bowdoin, and Jasper Bowdoin; brother and wife Tim and Krista Price of Longview; brother Tom Price of Longview; dear friend Lynnae Evans, cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and countless loving friends. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Koreen Price.
All are welcome to the visitation on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 3:00-4:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church located at 1015 State Hwy 155 in Big Sandy, Texas.
