Kenneth Landon Watson of Ore City passed away July 5, 2022. He was born on November 11, 1940 in Center, TX to Norvin and Mary Eva Grubbs Watson.
He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1958 and served in the U.S. Army. He married Sharon Hamrick on August 10, 1962. He was a machinist by trade and retired from Robroy Industries. Kenneth was an outdoorsman. He loved camping and fishing in the most out of way places. He also enjoyed working in his garden and sharing the produce with neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon Hamrick Watson; sisters Sue Peterson and Vicky Mayes of Carrollton, TX; sister-in-law, Jeanette Rodgers of Mesquite, TX; children Kenneth Jr. and wife Joselia, Michael Watson and Lana Anderson; grandchildren, Darren, Tiffany, Allen, Leah, Zack, Stormie, Celia and Bentley, great-grandchildren: Jaelyn, Leah, Kannon, Kaslyn, Claire and Georgia, numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Bobby Johnson.
A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
