Kim Lorraine Blakeney

Mrs. Kim Lorraine Blakeney of Big Sandy, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Kim was born in Palm Beach, Florida on February 25, 1957. She worked as Law Enforcement Security for many years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Faye Dixon; brothers, Richard Dale Jewkes and Kent Dixon Jewkes; and sister Margaret Dixon and husband Dan.

Kim is survived by her daughter, Byann Blakeney; brother, Dana “Derge” Myers and wife Rita; sister, Sue Shulps; grandchildren, Cy Blakeney and Aliya Johnson; sisters-in-law, Judy Jewkes and Lorelle Bacon as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Kelsey Heritage Center under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer.
