Larry David Sweaney

Gilmer -- Graveside services for Larry David Sweaney, 63, of Big Sandy, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 10 A.M. at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Born on December 20, 1951, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to Claude Sweaney and Katherine Isenburge, he died on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. He was a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Sweaney; children, Dean and Holly Thomas, Bryan and Kari Sweaney, Bobby and Brittany Eckloff, Leonard and Ashley Sweaney, Jessie and Ashley Sweaney, Kimberly Ross, Claudia Sweaney, and Tiffany Sweaney; 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lilian Sweaney. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Sweaney, step-father, James Wilson; mother, Katherine Wilson; and granddaughter, Serenity Sweaney. No visitation is scheduled.
