LeRoy Dean Anschutz
LeRoy Dean Anschutz of Gilmer, Texas, age 89. He was born on November 13, 1933 in Russell, Kansas to Dorothy and Edwin Anschutz. He passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023.
LeRoy is survived by Virginia, his wife of 68 years. His loving family are daughter Debra Cason and Dave of Garland, and sons John Anschutz and Julie of Allen; and David Anschutz of Allen. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
LeRoy was a member of Little Mound Baptist Church. He worked at UTD Space Sciences Division as an electronic technician until he retired. He has a cosmic ray detector on the moon. He raised goats for many years and enjoyed building and working on his land. He volunteered with Boy Scouts and Civil Air Patrol with his sons.
