Madeline Jones Nixon

Madeline Jones Nixon, 84, of Diana, Texas passed away on November 8, 2022. Madeline was born on August 28, 1938 to Aubrey and Ethel Jones.

Madeline was a 1956 graduate of Harleton High School. After high school she continued to obtain her degree at East Texas Baptist University and finished her Master’s Degree in education from Texas A&M Commerce. She taught for 35 years at Harleton Elementary School.

Madeline was a loving and devoted caregiver, wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed painting, crafting, quilting and cooking. Madeline was a member of Morton Baptist Church. She was always taking care of others. Madeline will be missed by many family and friends.

Madeline is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Ray Nixon; her son John Bradley Nixon and wife Melinda Lynn; grandchild, Aubrey Jade Nixon; and granddog, Chewy.

Madeline is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Ethel Jones.

A graveside service will take place on November 12, 2022 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Eagle Creek Cemetery.
