Maria F. Saldana

Services for Maria F. Saldana, 91, of Gilmer, will be held 10:00 AM Monday, November 6, 2017, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer, with Rev. Wayne Norvell officiating. Private interment will follow at Kelsey Cemetery. Mrs. Saldana passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017.
Maria was born on September 25, 1926, in Beeville, Texas, to Pedro and Guadalupe Salazar Farias. She worked for many years as a Nurse’s Aide, and was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son: Adam Garcia, and wife, Marilyn; daughters, Rosa Spiers, and husband, Steve, Maria Smith; brother, George Farias; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday, from 8:00 Am to 10:00 AM.
