It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gleta Hall, who left us on August 4, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on March 10, 1952, in Tyler, TX, Gleta was the cherished daughter of Tommy and Faye Pugh. She grew up with a love for music and an adventurous spirit that would later define her life.
After graduating from Winona High School in 1970, Gleta attended Tyler Business School, but her greatest accomplishment was her family. On September 2, 1972, she married the love of her life, David Hall. Their 53 years together were filled with love, laughter, and memories that will never be forgotten.
Gleta was a proud grandmother, finding immense joy in the lives of her grandchildren. Whether it was singing her heart out at home or playing the piano, her passion for music brought joy to everyone around her. She was also a lover of horses, often finding peace while riding in the open fields.
Gleta is survived by her devoted husband, David; her sons Michael Hall and spouse Carrie, of Big Sandy, TX, and Cody Hall of Carthage, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Hannah Hall, Brayden Hall, Macie Gordon, Allie Gordon, and Katie Gordon; as well as 1 great-grandchild, Hollis Davis.
A life well-lived, Gleta's spirit will remain with her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A visitation will take place on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 6PM to 8PM at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins, TX. Graveside services and a celebration of Gleta's life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2PM at Hawkins City Cemetery. In the meantime, we invite all who knew her to remember her warmth, love, and the beautiful music she brought into our lives.
Rest in peace, Gleta. Your melody will resonate forever in our hearts.
