Mark Allen Evans

Diana

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of  Mark Allen Evans Sr., 64 of Diana who passed from this earth on March 15, 2024 and into the Arms of Jesus.
Mark was born on June 3,1959, to Charles and Magdalene(Manes) Evans, in Gilmer, Texas  and grew up in Diana.
Mark was a proud graduate of New Diana High School and embarked on a career in welding that span over four decades. His dedication and skill were evident in his work at Air Conditioning and Heating companies, Lone Star Steel, and Trinity Industries. Mark's craftsmanship and commitment to his craft were unparalleled, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

A cherished member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge # 1138, Mark held the esteemed title of Past Master Mason, embodying the values of unity and brotherhood. His presence in the lodge was a true testament to his character and unwavering dedication to serving others.

Mark was a remarkable base player, and loved to play and sing for the Lord, something he passed down to his children.  Mark loved to be a stinker, as we will call it, having moments that many know of and hopefully will share with his boys.
Mark loved spending as much time as possible with his boys and grandson.  He loved watching his grandson play ball and tried to attend every game.  If he wasn't there, he was with one of his boys, navigating through this life, with such a love and respect for all three of them. It seems over the past few years, Mark knew just how precious time was, and so one could say his favorite pastime was his children.

Mark leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories, woven by the love he shared with his sons, Mark Jr., Chad, and Preston. Their bond was unbreakable and renewed,  a testament to the love and guidance Mark provided throughout their lives.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Shirley Evans.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Mark Evans Jr. and wife Jessica, Chad Evans and wife Melinda and Preston Evans. Mark was a proud grandfather to Nikolas Evans, who will cherish the memories of their time together as well as the many tells to come.   Mark leaves behind a brother; Jimmy Evans.  Mark also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory.

The funeral service to celebrate Mark's life will be held at Croley Funeral Home - Diana on March 23, 2024, with visitation begining at 1:00 and the Celebration of Life service begining at  2:00 pm.  We invite all who knew and loved Mark to join us in honoring his memory and paying tribute to a life well-lived.
