Mary Karen Watts

Funeral service for Mary Karen Watts, 74 of Gilmer will be Saturday, December 30, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Olde Tyme Baptist Church in Longview with Bro. Jim Crump and Kenneth Watts officiating. Interment to follow at Morris Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday, December 29, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer at 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Karen passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Watts was born March 17, 1943 in Xenia, OH to the late Michael and Dorothy Hammond and married Lawton Watts in 1991. Karen was a self-employed beautician, she also worked and managed Barnwell Mountain for seven years. Mrs. Watts was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Watts is survived by her husband; Rev. Lawton Watts of Pritchett, son; Brian Watts and wife Mandi, daughters; Kelly Shane, Alicia Gowenlock, Melissa Watts, brother; Mick Hammond, nine grandchildren; Nicholas McDowell, Adrienne McDowell, Madeline Field, Perry Watts, Cimber Watts, Brianna Watts, Kandis Leonard, Lauren Brooks, Tyler Gowenlock, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Watts is preceded in death by her parents and son; Mikey Joe Hammond.
