Mary Lee Beard

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Lee Beard, 100 of Longview formerly of Big Sandy will be held 10:00 A.M, Monday, August 2, 2010, at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy with Reverend Seth Johnston officiating. Mrs. Beard passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Longview. She was born January 10, 1910, in Hempstead, Texas to Henry and Maggie Hannah Callicutt Hauck. Mrs. Beard was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son, Elzie L. Beard, Sr. and his wife, Connie of Baker, LA.; daughter, Mary A. Heard of Longview; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and niece, Maxine Kennedy of LaPorte, Texas. Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie "Ed" Beard in 1965. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons, great grandsons, George Robert DeWeese and Lloyd Crabtree. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
