Melba Ferguson Booth, 89, of Diana, Texas, went to meet her Lord and Savior on June 21, 2014. Melba was born in Ore City, Texas, on August 27, 1924, to Les and Annie Ferguson. On September 5, 1942, she married the love of her life, Kenneth V. Booth, Jr., to whom she was married for 70 years until his passing on June 27, 2013. Melba was a member of First Baptist Church in Ore City, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She is survived by her children: daughter, Nita Falke; son, James Pierce Booth and wife, Vickie; son, Ronald Paul Booth and wife Annette; daughter Marla Booth Ison and husband, Gary. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Dennis Manchack, David Manchack, Dan Manchack, Melonie Morlen, Marcie Pierce, Mark Morlen, Melissa Cooper, Ronald Booth, Jr., Robert Booth, Bubba Calhoun, & Brad Ison. Survivors include 37 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Services for Melba will be held 2 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at New Hope Independent Baptist Church, with Reverend Tony Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Ore City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday, June 23, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
