Melvin Eugene Smith Gladewater " Memorial services for Melvin Eugene Smith, 69, of Gladewater, will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 2 P.M. at the White Oak Church of God, 1201 N. White Oak Road, with Sam Goude and Dale Rich officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Born on August 30, 1942, in Chatfield, Minnesota, he died on Friday, October 28, 2011. He was an industrial laborer. He is survived by his wife, Helen Smith of Gladewater; 4 brothers, Paul Smith, Leon Smith, Bud Smith, and Bob Smith; and 4 sisters, Ruth Grulkowski, Lavone Smith, Dianna Scherbring, and Judy Dickson. No visitation is scheduled.
