Mickey Charles Brewster passed away on October 2, 2024 in Gilmer, Texas. Born on October 2, 1949, in Tyler, Texas to Mickey and Dorothy (Prichett) Brewster.

Mickey was a proud veteran that served in the U.S. Army.  His exemplary service earned him numerous honors, including the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. These accolades testify not only to his bravery but also to the honor with which he approached his duties, both on and off the battlefield.

Mickey worked for Cotton Belt as a Railroad Engineer.

Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 49 years, Charlotte Brewster; sons, Richard Brewster, Steven Brewster and wife Heidi; daughter, Elisia Brewster Ingram and husband David; sister, Pat Adcox. Along with 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, John Hamilton Brewster.

A graveside service will be held on October 7, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas. The service will begin at 10:00 AM with Pastor Dickey Helpenstill officiating.
