Molly Jo (Green) Bales, 87, of White Oak, TX, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026 in Longview, Texas. She was born on November 12, 1938 in Littlefield, TX to the late Abner Dewitt Green and Mattie Thelma (Farmer) Green. Molly married Billy Joe Bales at the age of 16 and they enjoyed 51 years together, until his passing in May of 2006.
Molly's second love, behind her husband, was George Strait. She was one of his biggest fans. Molly spent many years volunteering at White Oak ISD, where she made lifelong friends, most of them being students whom she worked with. Molly was known for her unconditional love of those that she came in contact with.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Darla Wallace and her husband, David; Shari Berry and her husband, Terry; Dillon Bales and his wife, Lexie; grandchildren, JD (Venessa) Wallace, Kyle Duffee, Wesley (Amanda) Berry, Lauren (Tyler) Musgrove; great-grandchildren, Miles Berry and Olivia Lee Musgrove; nieces and nephews, Toshia (Marwan) Humphrey, Cory (Tiana) Bales, Junior (Ande) Turner, Marc (Nettie) Giles and Jana Bales and several other nieces and nephews; as well as her extended Farmer and Green family in West Texas.
Molly is preceded in death by her parents, Abner Green and Mattie (Farmer) Green; husband, Billy Bales; son, Danny Joe Bales; and her sister Lois and her husband, Mac, Humphries
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bales will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 2:00 pm; where a visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
