Nancy C Morgan

Nancy Carliene Morgan, 87, entered into eternal joy on December 17, 2021. She was born on January 8, 1934 in Houston, Texas to the late J.M. And Edith Virrie Wright. She married Thomas Revelle Morgan on January 5, 1949.
Nancy was preceded in death by both of her brothers, James Madison Wright and John Vaughn Wright. She is survived by her cherished children, Susan Morgan Schug and Alan Christian Morgan; grandsons Ahti Westphal, Tyler and Spencer Morgan, and granddaughter Allison Morgan, as well as her nieces and nephews.
As a stay-at-home mom throughout their childhoods, Nancy created a supportive and loving home for her children. She was a talented seamstress, and she made many of Susan’s school clothes. She was a creative school room mother and scout leader. She also volunteered with Welcome Wagon in several locations.
Over the years, Nancy’s family moved 4 times before arriving back home in Texas. At every new location, Nancy made close friends with neighbors and other members of the Southern Baptist church. She was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union, and she was a committed Christian.
While her daughter was in school, Nancy drove a small school bus for a private school in San Jose, California for a time. Later, she went to work full-time as an Administrative Assistant, first at Clevepak Corporation and then for many years with Siemens. When she retired, she moved into a cozy home she had built at Holly Lake Ranch, Texas. She played golf, walked, and worked out faithfully to stay in shape. She joined Holly Brook Baptist Church and was an active member there for many years.
A memorial service will be held in remembrance of Nancy at Holly Brook Baptist Church on January 8, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Heartsway Hospice of Longview or Holly Brook Baptist Church.
