Nelda Boles Ferguson was born on May 30, 1948, and passed away on September 7, 2026.

She served as an Administrative Assistant at Kilgore College, carrying out her responsibilities with care and dedication. Beyond her work, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether tending a garden, preparing food for others, or enjoying a day out shopping, she brought warmth and care into the lives around her. Above all else, she treasured being with her family. Those moments spent together were the center of her life and the source of her greatest happiness.

Her faith was also an important and guiding part of her life. Nelda was a member of Camille Acres Baptist Church, where she enjoyed fellowship and the comfort of a church family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Ferguson and wife Rachel; 3 grandchildren, Payton Vaughn and husband Trenton, Emma Ferguson, Austin Ferguson and wife Ashlyn; 5 great grandchildren, Avery, Calvin, Jade, Jaxon and Oliver; brother, David Boles and wife Sandy; sister-in-law, Gloria Boles; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Ruth Boles; brothers, Michael Boles and William Boles.

Visitation for Nelda Ferguson will be held on September 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
