Norman Wayne Dudley, age 60, of Longview, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 3, 1964, in Amarillo, Texas, Norman was the beloved son of Violet Bock and Lewis Jenkins “Nick” Dudley. He was a devoted father, cherished brother, and proud grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Norman worked as a general contractor, where he was known for his hard work, kindness, and dedication. Outside of work, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and craftsmanship. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Violet and Joe Bock; his partner, Shane Miller; his sons, Cody Dudley and Dakota Dudley; his brothers, Darrell, Tim, and Larry Dudley; and his beloved grandchildren, Kinnedy, Cohen, and Gunner Dudley. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Jenkins “Nick” Dudley; his brother, Charles Dudley; and his sisters, Mary Phelps, Barbara Matney, and Nicki Lynn Little.
A funeral visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 4–6 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas, followed by a private burial on Monday, September 15, 2025. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice.
Norman will be remembered for his love, strength, and devotion to his family. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
