Pamelia Ann Bishop Bryant was born on July 21, 1951, to Christell and Grover Bishop. Pam went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2026. Pam was a devoted wife, mother, teacher and Christian.
Pam’s calling was that of a teacher, a role she filled with warmth, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of her students. Even after her retirement, Pam’s dedication to education endured as she took great pleasure in substitute teaching. Her presence in the classroom was a gift, always accompanied by her compassionate smile and unwavering encouragement.
Pam’s spirit of adventure led her to travel around the world, embracing new cultures and experiences wherever she went. These journeys fueled her curiosity and enriched her life, but nothing brought her greater joy than spending meaningful time with her family. Her warmth, wisdom, and sense of humor created lasting memories for those fortunate enough to know her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, David Bryant; sister, Deborah Harrisonl; brother, Grover Bishop, Jr. and wife Pam; stepdaughter, Crystal Bryant; stepson, David Bryant; granddaughters, Trista Bryant, Brianna and Brittney Larson; nieces, Jessica Rogas and Lisa Davis; nephew, Christopher Harrison and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Christell (Presnell) Bishop; grandparents; nephew, Matthew Bishop and cousin, Carolyn Sargent.
Family, friends, and all who knew Pam are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Willow Oak Cemetery in Upshur County, TX.
Pallbearers will be Tony Smith, J.C. Green, Sam LaGrone, Christopher Harrison, John Morgan II and Chris Holt.
