Patsy Ruth Humphrey

Patsy Ruth Humphrey, 84, of Ore City, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Patsy was born September 11, 1941, in Gilmer, Texas, to Thomas Jesse and Willie Ruth Childress Hicks. She attended Ore City High School, and married Carroll Wayne Humphrey. She enjoyed working around the home as a mother. She was patient and kind and loved her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Coffeeville Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed crime shows and was a good communicator.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carroll Wayne, son, Leslie Humphrey, grandson, Christopher Jaynes, great granddaughter, River Humphrey.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Steve and Vickie Penna, her son, Randy Humphrey, sister, Joyce Brill, granddaughters; Jessica Thomas, Courtney Hart (Wayne), Ashley Bishop (Cody), Kimberly Garmeny (Kyle), grandson, Michael Humphrey, great-grandkids, Aydin, Taydrien, Layton, Kylie, Jacobie, Gavin, Chris, Bentley, Braxton, Gatlin, Hunter, Easton, Brody and Colter; niece, Jennifer Lain (Raymond) and great nephew, Hunter Lain.

A visitation is scheduled 12:30PM-1:30PM, Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Croley Funeral Home, Diana, Texas. Graveside services will follow at 2:00PM at the Coffeeville Cemetery, with Reverend Theron Turner officiating.
