Patricia "Tricia" Gail Wolverton Burton

Patricia, better known as Tricia, was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on April 11, 1968 to Jerdy and Linda Wolverton. Her life ended tragically on August 30, 2025 as a result of an automobile accident. She attended school in Kilgore where she graduated in 1986. She then earned an Associates degree in Business from Kilgore College in 1988, she married Gary Burton and their son, Lane was born in 1999.

At the time of her death, she was the Human Resource Manager for Wal-Mart in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

Tricia loved fiercely - her God, her family, and recently her grandson, Reese, who called her "Cricket". She will always be remembered for her caring and generous spirit. Tricia, you will be missed... but we will see you again.

Tricia was preceded in death by her father Jerdy and her Grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Lane and grandson, Reese of Pittsburg TX; her mother Linda Wolverton of Kilgore; her sisters and their spouses Kathy and Jeff Harborth of Gilmer and Sharon and Jim AuBuchon of McKinney. Also, brother-in-laws James (Marie) Burton of The Woodlands, Bobby (Diana) Burton of Longview, and sister-in-law Denise (Jeff) of Gilmer, as well as several nieces, and nephews, and great-nieces as well as aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flower, please make a donation in her name to the Princedale Country Club Annual LGA Cancer Benefit or your favorite charity.

A celebration of life for Tricia will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, TX, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.  Officiating in the services will be Bro. Kyle Smith.
