Patsy Ann Parker, born in Gilmer, Texas on August 22, 1937, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Gilmer on February 17, 2026. A cherished member of the Gilmer community, she will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the joy she brought to those around her.
Patsy dedicated her life to her family and friends, touching the lives of many with her generous spirit and loving heart. Throughout her years, she exemplified the values of compassion and community, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Patsy was a lifelong resident of Upshur County and graduated from Gilmer ISD. She worked as a bookkeeper for Varnado's for many years and later served as a senior citizen coordinator for many years. Patsy married D.B. Parker, better known to all as "Parker" on August 4, 1954, in Upshur County, Texas. They were faithful members of Grace Baptist Church in Gilmer.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, D.B. "Parker" Parker; sons, James Parker and wife Xanthe, David "Poncho" Parker and wife Cindy; brother, John Stewart; sisters, Bonnie Roberts and Billie Johnson; 4 grandchildren, Matt Parker and wife Nichole, Brandy Parker, Branson Parker and wife Devon, Brianna Henson and husband Travis; 6 great grandchildren, Charlotte, Bennett, Caroline, Savannah, Briar and Wyatt; 1 great great grandchild, Brandy; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Patsy's life during a visitation, which will take place on February 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park at 3:00 PM.
