Paul Everett Bemis

Mr. Paul Everett Bemis, age 58 of Gilmer, passed away at his home on January 25, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Paul was born on March 31, 1964 in Fort Worth, TX to Frank and Brenda Cates Bemis.

Paul worked as an Assistant Chief and Fire Marshall for The City of Alvarado for 23 years. He will be greatly missed by the many friends and family members he has left behind.

Paul is survived by his wife Marci Bemis of Gilmer; sons Kerry Bemis and wife Erin of Ft. Worth, Brandon Martin and wife Bryee of Springtown,Texas, and Braden Martin of Saginaw, Texas; daughter Kassi Thompson and husband Stuart; sister Jada Smith and husband Dan. His grandchildren Jax Bemis, Wyatt Thompson and Caroline Martin; cousin Linda Himes and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was greeted into Heaven by his Grandparents Omega and Urban Cates; parents Brenda and Frank Bemis; and cousin Brenda Himes.

Memorial graveside service will be held at Grice Cemetery on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:30 PM with Chaplin Wade Taylor officiating and under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
